Reeko's sure you've heard the saying 'No news is good news' - right? Wrong! Reeko, being a world-renowned scientist type guy that he is, always has the inside scoop on the latest, greatest science news. So if you want to know what's going on outside of Reeko's Lab in addition to what crazy kookiness Reeko is cooking up inside the lab - this is the place to be...

Don't get too excited, all the South African researchers found was the skeleton. But, this guy is 3.6 million years old and sets a record for the oldest human skeleton ever found. Before this discovery, the oldest skeleton was a mere 1.8 million years old...The Sahara's Missing Vegatation
![]()
When a world-reknowned scientist informed Reeko that the Sahara was a desert because it had no trees Reeko replied, "Yes, and penguins can't wear lipstick because they have no lips - so what's your point?". To which the world-reknowned scientist went on to explain that scientists now believe the absence of trees and other plants is what made the Sahara a desert or at least is what is keeping the Sahara in its current desert state. Vegatation absorbs sunlight which heats up the atmosphere above the plants causing the warm air to rise - viola, rising warm air is a requirement for clouds and rain. Furthermore, plant covered soil holds water better than sand which further enhances the evaporation of water from the soil and the subsequent creation of rain-bearing clouds.Think all the planets in existance can be counted on two hands?
There are lots more planets than the ones existing in our own solar system. In fact, scientist have just discovered 6 more planets orbiting other stars. This brings the total number of 'extrasolar' (outside our solar system) planets to 28!
